Inauguration of Shabab Foundation and Launch of Youth Hub in Baalbek on International Youth Day

On the occasion of International Youth Day, designated by the United Nations General Assembly every August 12th, the Shabab Foundation announces its establishment and the inauguration of the Youth Hub in Baalbek. On this global occasion, Dr. Hussein Fadlallah Zeaiter, along with a group of university students, unveiled the Shabab Foundation at its center in the neighborhood of Baalbeck Castle, in the presence of Sami Ramadan, the head of the Baalbeck Municipality’s Cultural Committee.

Dr. Hussein Fadlallah Zeaiter, the association’s founder, announced the choice of this day for the association’s launch in his address, under the event’s theme of “Youth.” He went on to elaborate on the organization’s vision and goals, saying: “We are the city’s future as a center of culture, knowledge, and education. We must keep up with the world’s rapid advances in science and technology. We must not fall behind in this development.”

He went on to say that these principles have guided the organization, and that “through our cooperation, along with other civil and non-governmental organizations in the city, we aim to serve the youth project for the betterment of our city and the future of our youth.”

Zeaiter emphasized the importance of youth in uplifting society’s largest segment and their role in shaping the future of our generations in the fields of technology, software, and artificial intelligence.
