How did Apple turn the iPhone notch’s weak point into a total success?

The iPhone’s 14 Dynamic Island

Apple has had much success in transforming the iPhone display notch, from an annoying weak point into a successful feature by introducing Dynamic Island. The Dynamic Island is no more a static cutout, it can now shift in size and provide new visual tools on the iPhone’s display.

Apple held its biggest event of the year on September 7. The company has introduced four new models in the iPhone 14 series: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra, and AirPods Pro during the event.
Regarding the iPhone series, and in addition to the Dynamic Island, here are some new features:

  • iPhone 14 Pro has finally introduced the always-on display feature, and it did it better. The iPhone’s display can stay on all the time, so you can check the notifications, widgets, and more features at a glance. No need to tap on the screen to wake up the device. It is also refreshing at 1hz (or 1fps), so it would hardly drain battery life.
  • A 48-megapixel camera for the pro series, while the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus come with the old 12-megapixel camera.
  • Emergency Satellite calling, it’s designed to let you get in touch with emergency services in areas where you don’t have reception.
  • Crash Detection, the new iPhone, will alert emergency service providers and emergency contacts after detecting a car accident.
  • The iPhone 14 will not feature a physical SIM card tray in the US. All models will be eSIM only.
  • 120HZ refreshing rate comes in the Pro series, while the iPhone 14 and 14 plus have 60Hz only.
  • All the iPhone 14 series come with 6Gb RAM
